Yeah, I was bummed about that. I was hoping they’d turn the tables and she would have to save link or at least giving the option to switch to her or something. It’s disappointing that they chose to go the safer (and more boring) route of just going with Link again.

Did they just make Zelda the “Damsel in distress” once again?

Justin Theroux appeared in a Lynch project that was heavily reassembled after the pilot process (Mulholland Drive) and a Lynch project that was completely incomprehensible (Inland Empire), so no wonder he was confused.

Isn’t there also a joke in Thor: Ragnarok about Goldblum’s character using his luxury spaceship to throw orgies?

Lynch himself often compares his movies/shows to dreams - you can even watch clips of him directing where he instructs the cast to make it more “dreamy”.

Works well for the inane questions of children especially.

Has Jennifer Lynch ever commented on the fact that her father made a movie clearly about her, where she is depicted as some kind of weird, alien... creature? I mean, that’s gotta mess you up a bit as a kid.

Lynch is definitely an exploratory filmmaker. He goes in with some ideas and themes, but he follows the experience of film making where it takes him.

DC: “Batman doesn’t do that. Superheroes are selfish lovers.”

“I don’t know, buddy. But let’s find out” is now my go-to answer for virtually everything. Thanks Dave!

Lynch isn’t just chucking shit together like say a Michael Bay film, where they saw something “cool” and want to do it too, but rather he just seems to follow his gut or moments of free thought and see where that takes him.

Or the robot(?) brothel in Guardians 2.

There’s also the joke from the first Guardians movie that implied Star Lord had jizzed everywhere in his ship.

Plus his hookup in the beginning of the movie that A) he forgot was still on the ship and B) forgot her name.

It won’t be Marvel, because people in the MCU barely hold hands

All that I want from this game, ultimately, is a Halo 4 campaign (y’know, something with heart and a cohesive narrative) with Halo 5 multiplayer gameplay. This seems like it might give me some of that! I wish they had brought back Spartan Ops in some form or another, but I guess people liked Warzone and Firefight

I do think the crowd that was very vocal about their dislike of last year’s demo is not exactly the same crowd that is praising the multiplayer stuff this year.

Is there split-screen multiplayer?

I hate gatekeeping like “you should probably start with Part 1 of a continuous story and not Part 7 or 8.” Such rude people out there, suggesting linear narrative is stronger when experienced from start to finish!
