I loved it so much, I bought the DVD. I’m a sucker for SF that’s as much about inner space as outer.

And the question, ‘What do we love when we love someone?’ is one I find perpetually intriguing. It’s not one that’s tackled all that often (that first Trill episode of ST:TNG comes to mind, but not much else).

Reviled by who? I love this movie; everyone was great in it but I would single out Viola Davis. And that Cliff Martinez score, gorgeous. Sure, it was doesn’t have a 12-minute wordless shot of a guy in a taxi or whatever, so I guess it’s not ART.

i think the main issue is the very credible abuse allegations.

Harrison?

*World’s longest, most exhausted sigh*

It’s a mess of an episode, but I thin a large part of the blame is on COVID. They had a storyline with a deadly virus pandemic that they scrapped because of COVID, that’s why there’s the subplot of the Flag Smashers stealing medicines and stuff leftover, which in turn means some episodes will have that patchwork feel

I wanna meet the guy who yells toasty.

The FF movie that actually made sense.

I’m still waiting for my FFVII remaster. And VI. And Chrono Trigger.

Yes.

Now do Spirits Within, you cowards.

Some people liked the multiplayer, most didn’t care about it as Mass Effect is a single player experience.”

The corporate speak about a complete experience is about how LE isn’t even remastering the whole of the trilogy but cutting out bits to save time.

But then call it just a remaster of the base games and don’t sell it as a complete collection. They’ve literally cut aspects that were on the discs the first round entirely and have decided not to include all DLC.

I’m curious how cutting stuff out means it’s not a complete experience?”

I’m still really unsure about this. Yes the first game sounds like it’s gotten a massive overhaul but it still leaves an experience that from reports is far and away mostly just an anti-aliasing and sharpness upgrade.

33 was such a remarkable episode of television. Now that is how you do a space chase!

the scene at the end of the first episode of Battlestar, when he glares at the rest of the crew for their tired, defeated “so say we all” was so good. The full Olmos glare is weapons-grade.

As a Mexican American who grew up on his movies, all I can say is....he’s The Man.

A long-form on Edward James Olmos. Now this, THIS is a candidate for entertainment article of the year, most seriously.
