a lot of the places here nowadays have tire repair shops within reasonable distances, so this was probably done as a really emergency repair in some place that unluckily didn’t have a proper tire repair shop.

agreed. they do have a good presence in other markets, so if they do go out from the usdm, there are other places to be.
