I really like how this article described it - I don't think it's only about shock value (although that is absolutely part of it). It is also about refusing to be ashamed about something the world tries to shame you for. And it's about refusing to be ashamed in the loudest, most public, and most absurd way possible.

Money issues make me anxious, so I have trouble watching live action shows when the characters are doing zany schemes but I know they're supposed to be struggling for money. Like it's hard for me to focus on the fun if I'm busy worrying about how they will pay their rent. That's my own craziness though.

I wasn't crazy about that episode, but the interactions between Louise and Linda were excellent. Louise being proud to show Linda the drawing of her in the future when she has a pet monkey made me happy.

Sure, but you cant reach above your head!

This is one of my favorite episodes. For some reason the librarians hissed line of "I tell everyone about Topsy" kills me every time. And that song really is excellent.

Oh, and my favorite part, which might not have been this guy at all: Under "personality" for AC Slater it simply says "slater had a perm."

Mr. Crane: Zack, I could have any woman I want. Any woman at this school, or any school. Do you want to know something?
Zack: I'm not sure I do.
Mr. Crane: I don't want any of the women, any of these little girls. I'd give up that power in an instant to gain the one thing I want: someone wise beyond their years, someone

Lots of time actors just legitimately have scheduling issues. She wasn't technically a regular on the show, actors in that position usually fit in extra projects as they can, but sometimes it doesn't work out.

I think on some level he wanted Alex to convince him not to go through with it. The fact that he went to see her after seeing his parents nudges me in that direction.

And I don't really have any sympathy for Pornstache being framed for rape, since I think the way he would trade drugs for sex was pretty rapey. These are addicts, and they have absolutely no other way of getting something their brain is convinced they need. Taking advantage of that is horrible on a level beyond the

But you keep seeing them cover up trouble (like all of Pornstache's abuses, the drugs getting smuggled in, etc.) They made a big deal about the screwdriver when it first went missing, but in practice that might not mean much.

It reminds me of how planes were required to have cameras inside protective boxes, but no one ever bothered checking if the cameras worked well. (At least that's what I heard in an article from like 20 years ago, so who knows at this point.)

I think people write those articles knowing that they're being extreme and kind of ridiculous, and knowing that they'll get lots of hate clicks because of it.

And everyone I know who has experienced prison in the US said that race was a big deal there. Ignoring that would be an embarrassing misstep. So what, you're just not supposed to write about prison at all?

It's funny, there is "awful" as in "this person is morally bankrupt and poisoning puppies in their spare time" and then there's awful like "if I sat next to this person at a dinner party I would want to strangle them."

I'm assuming Tricia got sent to prison for a drug related charge. We don't know how she's getting that money that she tries to use to pay back the store, it's possible she's doing some low-level dealing.

Damn, for the family fuck up, Cal makes a good spread for Thanksgiving. I don't think I've ever seen such a nice looking dinner.

That just sounded so selfish to me. Maybe it's because I've written too many papers about prenatal nutrition and the effects of stress, but short of a rocket ship, prison seems like the absolute worst place to have a baby. You don't get proper medical attention, you have below average nutrition, and your risk of

I think she might be training him to be a therapy dog. So it wouldn't require as strict rules as a dog that keeps a blind person company, for example.

Oh, give her time. She's awesome.
