However, you never get held up by a freight train in NYC. (That happened to me when I was in Chicago for an extended work stay years ago.)

There used to be a guy who took his white cockatiel to and from NYC/Pt. Pleasant every day in a cat carrier on NJT.

I love the big dogs in the blue IKEA bags with the leg holes cut out!

After becoming familiar with BOCA code and fire codes when I was in office, that's how I look at anywhere I go. Code and fire violations trip over each other sometimes. I haave walked out of places where I just didn't feel safe.

I had friends and acquaintances who were supposed to BE there but ended up blowing it off because they were tired after work. There's a great book about it called Killer Show; so many terrible things converged at once that night — just like the Ghost Ship.

No charges for the owners *yet.* This is a multi-pronged crime; the owners and the city bear huge amounts of responsibility for this as well.

Inconvenienced and homeless but ALIVE. Those 36 people who perished at the Ghost Ship and their families and friends sure as hell wish they could say the same.

This is just a horribly painful and tragic turn of events for Chris Cornell, his family and friends. May they all find peace.

I signed up for one of the cosmetics boxes for a while and ended up with ore black eyeliner and red lipstick than I will ever possibly use. After three or four months, I cancelled.

Have they set up a way for the rural rednecks on SSI to have the cost taken right out of their disability checks yet?

Sadly, I'm not joking. Check out www.orlandosentinel.com; people waited hours and hours to get in on its opening day.

It would be nice to see some new stuff for classic Disney characters. Mickey and Minnie and the crew could be still be a big box-office draw.

Now they have Avatar World at Animal Kingdom.

That has to be one of their worst songs — it's certainly up there with "Don't Want To Miss A Thing."

Avatar World just opened Saturday at Animal Kingdom and people waited three hours just to get into the gift shop.
