I don't completely understand the Americans and their obsession with traveling abroad. I mean yes, it is a good thing to do, and I'd like to do it at least once. But, so many of them ignore all the cool things right out their own backdoor. They obsess over going to London, but then never go to see the Grand Canyon.

I did both the West and the South at different points last year with a special man who is now on the other side of the globe. Best trips I've ever taken. It's boggling, thinking about how vast and varied this hunk of land really is.
