Barbara Lee over Waters.

Yeah, only gripe I’d have is I’d like someone younger but I’d take her over Pelosi on every day ending in a y.

Betty McCollum, who has been in Congress for eighteen years and has been championing Trump impeachment while Pelosi criticizes it as “divisive”

But would you not want someone worthwhile to run? Yes, you can’t literally wave a magic wand and make someone run, but hoping someone good does is pretty normal. I’m basically asking you who you think is worthwhile? Seems like a pretty normal question to me, especially when you seem to care enough to shit on the idea

Again, those were all with a huge majority.

Why the fuck would we leave all the dirt we could get on Trump in the table when we don’t even know how long we’ll have this power? If we drew attention to his corruption, we might actually have a chance. Otherwise, we’ll just have a repeat of 2016 where we call him racist and no one cares.

In another year, the first primaries will be right around the corner and it’d be too late for anyone new to launch a campaign, so you should care.

The DADT repeal was at a time when Democrats had a near 80 seat majority in the House and it was passed during lame duck. She better have gotten that through because it would’ve been a colossal failure if not.

This is what Pelosi thinks of impeachment:

That’s just one of her recent boneheaded statements. There was also, “We’re capitalist, we just are” resisting the big tent that Dems need and “No need for change of strategy after letting the most unpopular candidate in history win an election, the culmination of a decade of Republican dominance electorally. She’s

I mentioned a bunch of people to you which you continue to ignore.

Like maybe the first chair of the Progressive Caucus that even Pelosi herself had to admit was a “rising star”.

How about Barbara Lee? Or if you need someone younger, McCollum or Jayapal? Or any number of women?

Ok, you wise sage, who do you think is a Democrat with a realistic shot/a person you’d like to win?

Maybe I misstated, I don’t think simply her being a black woman but her history of working for racial and gender justice issues and her background would also appeal to black people. I’m not doing this to fellate Bernie, just stating facts. I find it funny that my youth makes you think I don’t understand the voting

Ok, one, Pocan has voted in line with Trump just 10% of the time in comparison to Sinema’s 62.

Calling her a centrist is putting it mildly. She voted with Trump overwhelmingly, while representing a solid blue district. If her voting record remains in line with what it was in the House, she’d be the most conservative Democrat in the Senate.

The job you’re describing sounds a lot more like a Whip. The Speaker also serves an important role as a leader and all that demands and especially now, a voice of the opposition.

How has the Intercept shown itself to be an alt-right blog? Just saying, it’s kind of weird for an alt-right blog to do an expose on white supremacist infiltration of law enforcement:
