That would actually a great way to bridge the Netflix characters. That and Murdoch in court.

Yeah but I think TDKR was a significant turning point. Of course, this was supposed to be an old, bitter Batman who started breaking bones and really fucking people up, but it was the beginning of Batman wearing armor and driving a tank. It was the beginning of Batman ditching the blue in his costume. It was Batman…
Of course, DC fans will protest this but I gotta call it how I see it.
I don’t see how a BTAS revival isn’t any different from the upteenth Batman animated show that showed up after that series ended OR one that they’d put in its place instead. Dini and Timm are still around, but I say you don’t do it without them.
I don’t know if it started with Frank Miller, at least as far as once could blame him for this? He contributed, certainly, but so many others did, it really did just feel like a slow, natural progression that no one realized was going out of control.
Agreed. It’s not clear cut, but DC’s biggest heroes tend to be portrayed as icons, whereas Marvel’s are people. That’s why there are endless knock-offs of Superman (Supreme, Apollo, Sentry, Hyperion, Mr Majestic) and Batman (Midnighter, Nighthawk, Big Daddy), but relatively few of Spider-Man or Mr Fantastic.
Thank you for saying what needed to be said. And let’s be honest, this all started with Frank Miller, didn’t it? Before that, Batman was great at hand-to-hand combat, had some nifty gear, and was a great detective. Remember the early Ra’s al Ghul stories? The Denny O’Neill/Neal Adams stuff?
Just treat Batman like your favorite Hot Sauce: Great to add in, but not the backbone of the creation.
And that is DCs problem in a nutshell vs. Marvel.
Don’t forget how on Batwoman, her suit (which is repurposed from Batman’s) is described as “indestructible” and vulnerable only to Kryptonite.
Batman has been repeatedly described as having a genius-level intellect, being one of the greatest martial artists in the DC Universe, and having peak human physical conditioning. As a polymath, his knowledge and expertise in countless disciplines is nearly unparalleled by any other character in the DC Universe. He…
You mean, besides when Batman unequivocally won the fight against Superman in BvS?
Only one I’ve seen stay canceled through all this is Spacey.
Fact is, anti-Semitism is not a deal-breaker for too many people, even in allegedly “Jewish-run Hollywood.”
Or we could just admit that the original was really good, has held up well over time, and doesn’t require any adjustments or continuations. This is yet another example of a company with hundreds of potential characters to use for animated series being fixated on one character that has been done to death already.
I am prepared for absolutely anything with Spidey 3.
A six-man tag with Tobey, Garfield and Christopher Daniel Barnes against Holland, Nichold Hammond and whatever stagehand was in the Spider-Man costume in Electric Company? Sure.
Kirsten Dunst, Hailee Stanfield and Zendaya becoming the new Warriors Three? Sure.
It would be hilarious if he continued playing that actor who is now an Asgardian freedom fighter or something.
Matt Damon has joined the cast of Thor: Love & Thunder in a currently undisclosed role.
Nakia, right? Her or Okoye taking up the mantle would be easily the two best solutions. I lean toward Okoye, myself, since she’s more established through Infinity War/Endgame, but either would work.
Am I only one who thought the headline meant it was gonna be a sequel?
So does this mean we’re going to see more than just a big 👁?
