The point was- if a poor country like Cuba can have such great healthcare and strong education programs- why can’t we? why do we think our way is the best against all evidence?

Which country would that even be? The closest thing there is to a democratic socialist state is Cuba (if you ignore the whole “democratic” thing.) Scandinavian countries aren’t actually socialist and neither is North Korea or Laos or whatever you were going to say.
