I'm happy for Manning that she's in a place where she feels comfortable being open about who she is, I wish her the best in her transition.
And who said gay people don't exist, exactly? Like, name one person in this discussion who said that. The people saying he is bisexual are also wrong because that is not how he identifies, but I wasn't addressing that.
Not really a "disorder", but we'll call them out on the one where we try not to be gross and police other people's identities. Seriously, what is your fucking deal? He seems comfortable with himself. How does his labels affect you one iota?
Biphobia isn't a disorder, it's just a shitty way of thinking.
It's all fine and dandy to armchair psychoanalyze and fit him into a category you are comfortable with, but gender identity, sex and and sexual orientation are not binary. He is who he is, exactly as he says he is, and calling him an old queen when that is in fact NOT what he identifies as is weaksauce. He's a…
Unless you work for fashion inside the brain, heart, and soul of Andre Leon Talley*, your opinion counts for shit, which, in my opinion, is what it smells of.
I have no idea who this guy is and those outfits are hypnotically awful and yet—- yet—- can't hate. Shine bright like a diamond, Caftan Guy!
He never said he was bisexual. And just because he may not want to fuck a woman doesn't mean he can't love one romantically. We don't get to tell other people how to identify or how to process their own experiences.
Eh, his sexuality is HIS own. Who am I to say how he should feel or to whom he should be attracted. Shit, rock your muumuus, be as queeny, or butch, or femme, or fierce, or whatever. Love who you want; fuck who you want. Choices, everyone, it's pretty great!
I love love love this man. Every time I see him it makes me wish I had a caftan so I could swirl around dramatically. Plus Durham, NC represent!
I love Jez. I feel like I'm amongst my peeps here. The average person does not know the greatness that is Andre.
In situations like this, it's not so much what they're doing but WHERE they're doing it. If someone's being rude, invasive, annoying, or just plain weird, the fact that it's on the subway and you can't just walk away makes it 10 times worse. And these people know they have a captive audience and are taking advantage…
Kindly shut the fuck up and stop speaking for women of color. I'm a black woman and I have this problem on the subway everyday. My Latina, Asian, Native, and white friends have this same problem. Women, regardless of race, are subjected to this maltreatment. So, please move on to your next crackpot and crack pipe…
I'm a Brown Line regular and have never had a problem on it (I mean, it's the suburbia of lines), but the second I step foot on a Red Line, extremely weird shit goes down.
So if women don't want to be bothered, we should:
"Sorry, but I'm not really in the mood to talk right now." Straightforward but not rude... just honest.
Yeah, the five million people who ride the NYC subway daily are all lowlifes, and everyone should just stop riding it.
.......There is no point in talking to you I see.
