Apple should thank Gizmodo for this. There is a lot more first-day interest in this phone than normal because of the nationally-publicized incident with the lost prototype.

Apple should be thanking Gizmodo for this. If not for the highly-publicized incident with the lost prototype there would not be nearly this much first-day interest in the phone. (Too bad their ordering system failed.)

@Masai Andrews: How do you enforce a gender-based ordering system?

@Eric Scheller: And then these states tax you again when you "repay" the subsidy by paying AT&T monthly service charges for 2 years? That's double taxation!

@RigAudio: Because you'd rather wait an extra year for each version of the device? You could simply do that here if you want to save this hassle.

@Andrew Barnes: It's 61.5 because there are 5 subwoofers (if the woofers are on separate channels, which they shouldn't be because humans cannot readily locate bass notes in space).

@Deez: We hear with two ears but the ears are capable of 3D sound location based on timing. That's how you know the bird in the tree is above and behind you, for example. That can be simulated with a handful of speakers but the more speakers you have the closer you are to actually placing the sound in 3D space. This

This is getting old. We have these problems every single year. You think they would learn.

Looks like Sony won the console aesthetic war, at least. Isn't there a shiny black Wii coming out also?

In frame 1 of Kick-ass, is that a view of his balls?

@Jimmy From The Block: Not the PS3. Slot-loading. The eject button doesn't pick up prints because it's textured (the original PS3).

@gnargle: That's all? I mean, here is this remarkably unique and meaningful art and all you can do is say it's creepy?

@pist: You beat me to this exact comment.

@Ookseer: I think you're crazy to risk thousands of dollars in equipment in a 10-cent plastic bag that's made of formed plastic strips pressed together. It may work most of the time but it is risky. A warp in the plastic during manufacturing will cause a leak. The manufacturing tolerances are not very high on

@random_droid: @MifuneT: No kidding. I was watching the BP live feed a few nights ago and they spent an hour or more trying to get a hex wrench to slide onto a large hex bolt. It looked really frustrating. At one point they were just slamming them together. I gave up watching before they got it.
