Eyebrow role model.

It's rough. I have encountered SO MUCH "advice" (from men and women alike) that is purely based on a misogynistic world view. When Wendy Davis stood up for Texas women I had to go on a fb defriending spree. People I've known my whole life were spewing vitriol because they think their religion and personal beliefs

My cat didn't even care the one time I gave her kisses and got red lipstick all over her face. She's white, so she just had to be slightly pink for a bit.

Yogurt, cheese, milk (dairy priorities), apples, pears, raspberries, fresh-brewed iced tea, and coffee milk. If it wasn't a tiny college fridge I would have SO much more.

We only got abstinence-based sex ed at my school (Texas) and they recently added a second on-campus daycare building sooooo yeah.

From what I understand, this friend was just like "You two. You're single, go out!" and then they did! Plus, two of my good friends are in long-term relationships that started similarly. I think it totally works if the friend knows what they're doing.

My parents met when they were both in their early 30's, got married and had me within two years! They got together after a matchmaking coworker set them up. They just had their 24th wedding anniversary. (And my mom may use this story to calm me down when I panic about being alone forever.)

I was talking to my dad about this (Born and raised in Wyo, went to UW, etc.) and he called her a carpetbagger so...there's that?

I live in Texas and get obscenely happy when I see Wyoming plates. I'm planning on moving to the Newcastle area once I get certified to teach up there and I really can't wait.

Oh god, the fishing license thing kills me. I go to Wyoming most years to visit family/go hiking and I know how big of a deal that must have been. It's not like she doesn't have the money to pay for an out-of-state license, living in Jackson Hole and all.

I dunno, the girl wearing a "Beat The Hell Out Of Obama" shirt (in one of my education classes, no less) seemed preeeeetty Republican to me...

Texas here: last year I was in a sociology class and the professor asked how many of the people in our class (of about 75) thought men and women were treated equally. Maybe 15 raised their hands. When he asked who in the room considered themselves a feminist, I was one of THREE (women) who raised their hand.

A friend of mine has a daughter who's almost two and I know that child spends at least four hours watching TV a day, if not more-they have it set up so she can watch cartoons almost anytime, anywhere.

I LOVE KELLY LINK.

One of my cats passed away a few weeks ago. I'm away at school, but I was home that weekend and ended up leaving a couple of hours after we buried him. The last time I was home I was doing laundry in the garage, which is also where he slept. My mom hadn't moved his stuff out yet, so the scratch post/shelf he liked

All of these events happened in my paternal grandma's house (she passed last year and I refuse to go to the house now, so it'll always be hers to me), over a period of years. The house is pretty nice during the day, lots of sunshine and big open rooms. However, the house also has a creepy, partially-finished

My nails are currently almost-almond (so, oval, with a vague point) from square, and I like it a lot better. Nail shape can also change the look of your hands-my fingers look longer since I changed shapes!

Their lounge wear is super comfy but too expensive/too sparkly for my taste most of the time. I found some equally comfy sweatpants at Aerie/Target for much cheaper!

This is only the tip of the iceberg-if I went into the things she's done to me, we'd be here all day. Distancing myself from her like I normally do when she's being an idiot won't do anything to help her fiance (or his kids) though.

Looking back on all the things I've put up with for the sake of our friendship, I'd have to agree.
