This is my concern. The lack of introspection occurring in either party is setting the table for the next Trump to get elected. The anger and fear people have been made to feel of anyone who disagrees with them - meaning most of the crap coming out of newspapers, news shows and social media - is really destructive.

Agreed. Trump ran on infrastructure, so it’s just another example of the failure his presidency became. People definitely feel better about Biden because he’s not easy to hate - the opposite of Trump.

You’re a generous debater.  Again, kudos for trying to meet people more than half way.  That is what is needed. 

People’s need to belong to something has taken the place of life’s meaning that should be found elsewhere, whether it’s from work or hobbies or relationships (hopefully all of that).  That is what we should be trying to fix.
