Know what would be great to see? A list of the medications each of our representatives takes for loss of memory or attention. I don’t care about boner pills or hypertension meds, but if someone is not cognitively functional without drugs, we should know.

My experience with letter writing is that it’s like yelling at the clouds. Unless politicians are punished, i.e. booted from office, they won’t learn. The election of AOC and the booting of Republican senators in Georgia are good first steps, but it’s not enough.  That needs to happen everywhere.

“Surely McConnell & team are now going to introduce legislation to prevent this type of activity any day now, right?”

No one in government who influences/creates/shuts down public policy decisions should be buying and selling stock.”

That’s a great example to give because it helps to illustrate that we need to think of government influence as a corruption problem and not through the lens of the D vs R trash talk.

Pelosi clearly doesn’t care how it appears, and as you see from many of the commentariat, most people here don’t care either.

The excuses and deflections some of the commenters are making for this action are gross. No one in government who influences/creates/shuts down public policy decisions should be buying and selling stock.

Buy an e-bike if you make bad choices with cars.

Big butter.

1st gear - CNBC reported last year that 25% of cars on US roads were 16 years old or older.

Unions should be differentiated. Public employee unions vs private unions. Taxpayers in general should have no say in private unions whereas they have a significant stake in public employee unions.

(Full disclosure: This is a blog for people who are interested in paying taxes for a better society. If your idea of a good country is one with zero taxes, then please close this tab now, there’s nothing for you here.)

Sadly, this site’s authors care much more about political statements than what’s listed in the About section. The humor is getting chucked out the window, too.   Wasn’t that long ago when Jalop was this:

If you’re poor, it’s quite real.  Step out of your tower.

We don’t know if MMT works because it’s been hijacked to inflate asset prices instead of economic recovery.  Thank Wall Street for that.

People sometimes buy cars they need, but more often buy what they want.  That’s why EV adoption has been low  -  They’re not yet desirable except for Tesla.

If you’re going to act with petulance, expect people to respond in kind.

How much does a Tesla cost, and did someone offer up the Tesla for you to use or did you pay for it?

It’s what you say when your argument has few facts to stand on.  He’s pounding the table for lack of facts.

The plan. lol.
