@rowingrowingrowing: No, she did! She a hired a ghostwriter to "scribble something all smart and high-falootin' on my hand" right before this quote.

@kentuckienne: I am doing a regrettably terrible job of something that should not have been undertaken by Pete Arnold: using gargantuan words and convoluted, meandering sentence structures, in the feeble hope that by utilizing an extensive thesaurus and mining its myriad entries for properly esoteric lexemes, a reader

@Irin Carmon: That really would be the best possible outcome.

@Leucadia: I can't decide whether their shirt is wrong or racist. "Bitter typical white person" is wrong in the same way "red big truck" is ("bitter" modifying "typical," "red" modifying "big"), but there is the possibility they meant to suggest "white" as typical and "non-white" at atypical. Although I'm probably

While there is a lot of "Haha crazy attention-seekers" and "Abort, they shouldn't be allowed to breed" going around (waaay more on the Gawker post than here, natch)... I feel terrible for this child. Prank or no, they're going to google their parents' names one day and find out their abortion was put to a vote online.

Really, Shape? Cause and effect is that difficult for you?

Damn, like there aren't too many stimulants in Brooklyn as it is.

@Fridge Hussy: Pumpkin Masala. That is all: I'm not sure how common this is, but... I've met white British people who called black British people "African-American." It blew my MIND. "Wait, did you say African-American?" "Yeah. Why?" "Um, but... the person was British, right?" "Right." "As in... not American?" "...I

@Susan B.: They're trying to kill all men with secondhand smoke. Devious.

@pennies.allover: It's simple: They're both pejorative terms! Or, rather, they're both meant to be read as pejorative terms if found between the front and back covers of Maxim. See also: militant, unshaven (if you're a woman, that is!), protesting.

@bananafishtoday: Oh. And I made this when the story got posted in GT yesterday. I mean, Tobey AND Leo? The memes almost make themselves. The only better thing I could imagine would be Keanu sitting on a bench, staring at a green light across the bay.

Carey Mulligan could go either way, really. She could play the role masterfully, or bring too much to a character meant to be simple and frivolous. And I'm reeeally wondering who they're going to cast as Jordan.

@ElphabaSkywalker: I wonder how many people watch this show and think, "No wonder he managed to marry six times, with a body like that!" Yeah...

@ElphabaSkywalker: Um... so I've never heard of The Tudors (the TV program) before, so I googled it, and... is that guy on all the posters supposed to be Henry VIII? As in, the 180-pound, muscley-looking guy with short black hair and no beard?

@moonkitten: Unfortunately, the unknown factor is part of the design. The idea is that if their protocols are known, people could modify their behavior/appearance to reduce the likelihood that they'd be checked if they're trying to do something illegal. If I had to guess, probably it's half profiling and half random.

@BrookeD: Oh my God, that's terrifying. I'm glad Little D is ok.

@bananafishtoday: So I was supposed to go out with someone tonight, around 10pm. We were texting back and forth around 9pm. 10:15 they texted me and said they had to do something, an activity that conceivably takes 10-15 minutes. It's 11:30, no response. Woo. The best part is I think it's because I couldn't get any

Stood up, whining in the reply.
