This, and all my friends from Lima almost had Southern accents too. They were like almost sorta Southern accents? It was clear Ryan Murphy had just looked on a map for a random town and didn’t do any research. He should have just made up a fake town.

As someone who actually went to high school in Toledo, I expect to be disappointed. I do wish I’d had Glenn Howerton as a teacher though cuz daaaamn.

Damn. She really is a good writer.

Her line about cringing when asked for her number by a boss makes it pretty damn clear that he hit on her.

For me it’s a matter of personal taste. Metalhead was beautifully shot, but the story just didn’t do anything for me. In a way, maybe it was too simple? It’s certainly one of the more straight-forward episodes, but I think I prefer stories that are more complex (perhaps more convoluted, ymmv) and episodes with a bit

I enjoyed this episode because it reminded me of Tales from the Crypt, and Lititia Wright’s performance was amazing.

What I like about this show is that everyone has pretty drastically different ideas of the best/worst episodes - with the exception of The Waldo Moment, which everyone agrees is the worst. Here are my rankings (minus The National Anthem, which I’ve never seen because I can’t deal w/ beastiality):

There was a very short-lived review show called Ebert Presents: At the Movies starring none other than Ignatiy Vishnevetsky and Christy Lemire. They had a great dynamic IMO and I really wish that show had continued!

Sy was such an entertaining character. Every scene w/ him killed me.

Same. And I really, really miss being able to rate TV episodes and movies myself too.

I would so watch that. My favorite scene of this episode was their back-and-forth about peeling the carrots. I’m laughing thinking about it now!

YES all of your opinions are totally on base. Dandy Mott is my favorite AHS character, just a perfect villain and Finn Wittrock played the shit out of him. Hotel is the only season I actually stopped watching. No regrets.

Excellent review and an excellent series to boot! I can’t recommend this one enough.

I had a similar turnaround RE: Beyonce. One thing I didn’t like about her, especially during her Destiny’s Child days and the early days of her solo career, was how she seemed too...perfect. Like, not edgy? Kinda just someone who was always perfect in everything that she did, a little milquetoast. I found her Sasha

lol she should enjoy the new film from the dude who brought us American Sniper - Thank You For Your Service. I just saw the trailer last night and I already know I’ll be hearing all about it from my conservative relatives.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm! Just finished episode one earlier today and I’m already going down reddit rabbit holes and have my theories on what’s going on. I love this game.

Bennett served in the army and wasn't a disgusting pervert. Sure, he had a relationship w/ an inmate, but I would argue he was portrayed as a more sympathetic character.

IDK, I freaking love Ron Howard's movie Parenthood from 1988. It's not ~only~ about parenthood but general family dynamics, and it isn't hokey given the subject matter.

That scene between them is one of my favorites. Great writing, elevated further by two fucking amaaaazing actors. RIP Tywin and Olenna :'(

LOL just remembered how much I hate Roeper.
