I watched this movie on a loop for like two weeks when I was super depressed. There’s a lot of subtle sight-gags and jokes I missed the first few times I watched the film.

Tilda Swinton won an oscar for this, which is pretty wild. It’s an accessible movie, with an utterly uninspired title.

All I remember from this movie is that you get to see Eva Mendes’ boobs.

Whatever happened to Shannyn Sossamon?  

Dang, a C? This movie is usually held in pretty high regard from what I’ve heard. It’s used as an example of a risky premise and performance paying off.

Casey Affleck turned out to be a real creep.

No one could have predicted years later that this would be such a powerful meme movie.

A strong movie from all parts involved. Nice to see Rosemary Harris get an uncommon part.

Yeah this one is pretty good too. Don’t think we’ll ever see another year with two films like this and There Will be Blood.

An overqualified cast for a movie about very little.

Now here’s an interesting thing, if it weren’t for this movie’s ending, I don’t think it would be remembered much at all other than as a decent King adaptation. But the ending is still infamous and used as a barometer for bleakness.

The ending totally drops the ball. Everything else was pretty solid.

I like to think this paved the way for Pacific Rim and Godzilla, which int turn lead to Shin Godzilla. So it did some good.
