@9ersfan86, he protested on the bench because he was seated. He did that for three weeks before someone noticed and asked him about it. He started to kneel because everyone was up in arms with his sitting, so he wanted to protest in a way that was respectful, which is how several military members expressed to him

The founding fathers stated that their vision in creating the United States of ‘Murica was the dream of one day, every man (well, every white man) would be carrying a gun capable of easily killing 20-30 people in a minute.

Remember now that corporations are people, they are special people that can’t be arrested. And businesses are very important as they provide jobs and economic stimulus. This is why corporations, no matter how evil or illegal they act, get just charged some fines and that’s it.

Oh please, like he’s better than Nathan Peterman or Blake bottles...

After someone shouted that Sterling had a gun (which was lodged in his pocket),

Republicans are arguing that preventing the president from appearing on the ballot is an attempt to limit republican desires to go vote, thus spurring even more democratic control of California on the ballots (as they face off the top two vote getters in November, not just the leading dem and republican).

However, there’s not one thing in the constitution that talks about primary elections.

They also claim that since Trump was elected, that the voters spoke and settled the entire issue.

I haven’t a clue how people in Texas are supposed to prevent a mass shooting if every idiot is allowed to own and openly carry a gun.

I remember after senator Scalise (sp?) got shot by mad gunman outside of DC, some in congress wondered whether they should all just start packing heat to protect themselves. Ignore the fact that there was fully armed and trained police/security with these folks, they still think “man, if we all had guns, we could take

He’s talking about the fabled ‘good guy with a gun’ stopping the mass shooters. Not the “guy broke into home, gets shot by homeowner”.

Beto (phony name to indicate Hispanic heritage) O’Rourke,

Wait. Hold on a second! You mean a guy with the name O’Rourke isn’t Hispanic? I could have sworn that was a classic name of rich hispanic heritage!

The comments by the president were truly wonderful and sincere and a great tribute for a great woman, as all these statements are.

Technically that’s not the same issue, that’s a completely different way prosecutors look to blame generally innocent people for the deaths of others, esp. those committed by police officers (so they’ve said the person was murdered, which means the officer is a murderer, but wasn’t charged? Huh?).

Addressing the issue would have been to pardon her. They just did the least they could do and say they did something. But she still has that big ol’ X on her job application next to “have you been convicted....”

And yet, even though she was a victim of sex trafficking who finally fought back, they still won’t admit she should never had been in jail in the first place, let alone charged as an adult.  But she killed a rich white guy, so “justice” must be served.

It’s nice to know I live in a country where a man can threaten a family WITH A GUN and get a suspended sentence.

In my day, we honored the flag by holding our right arms out at a 45 degree angle, palms flat and down, in what is now known as the nazi salute!
