That all the Democrats in the US Senate could walk out, and there would still be a quorum to conduct business. Thus, the Democratic senators cannot do what the Texan Democratic senators did, because instead of gumming up the system, it would be handing it over to the Republicans without contest.

I’m not nearly that old (another 30+ years to go), and yet I can tell I’ve lost some cognitive function (mainly in my ability to concentrate while reading). It’s frustrating and I don’t like it, but that’s aging for you.

Not to mention most 83 year olds I know are somewhere on the spectrum of dotty and demented. I know plenty of people can age gracefully and keep active, etc, but I don’t ask any 83 year old for advice on how to live. So why would I want them deciding current social issues for me? 

At this point, I’m pretty sure that PPP was just another way to help the rich and fuck over the people who really needed it..
