Love all the Pride stuff even though I’m not LGBTQ. I just like supporting everyone. It’s not so hard in NYC, where most people are out and proud. My “good thing” is that I *think* I’ve decided to sell my condo and use the money to go to grad school and get a proper teaching degree.

The new poet laureate was just named (Tracy K. Smith), and she’s a woman of color. She follows a hispanic man (Juan Herrera), whom I like very much. Both of these last two U.S. picks make me happy.
