“Mystery, Alaska.” Silly, but Russell Crowe.

Do. Not. Get. In. Over. Your. Head.
Why are you calling 7jxmp a liar? I used to lose bladder control while tumbling (less so when vaulting). I won’t go into all the home remedies I tried to use to contain it, but I finally had to quit at 16 because—among other things—I couldn’t take the shame anymore. My leos smelled like pee. I still have the letter I…
Also, Isabelle Huppert’s win is a win for women over 50. (She’s 63 and that’s freakin’ fantastic IMO.)
Meryl Streep, “Moonlight,” and “Atlanta.” That’s what I came for.
Admittedly, I didn’t watch the red carpet so I didn’t see JBH’s faux pas, but it’s a little bit of a Southern thing. I touch people (all kinds of people) probably more than I should. (I also had a very jovial Italian grandfather, so there’s that influence as well.)
I have no kids (thus no helpful advice), but this seems like a “good” problem. Still, I wish you luck in finding an amenable solution. Your daughter sounds creative and fun.
Ack! I only meant to link to the trailer:
There is also “Ondine,” which I remember liking when I saw it. (Also Polish)
Could it be your music? Sometimes a music catharsis hits at an inopportune athletic moment at the gym—at least for me.
I did it at 43 (publishing to teaching). I was not 100% successful, but I’m glad I tried. I don’t know the full implications yet (currently unemployed), but I did have some amazing experiences during the last two years. Do it with a clear head though—whatever you choose. Really consider your options.
In a good news/bads news vein: The good news is that my mom is passive aggressive toward my dad (because she’s always been afraid to voice her acutal frustrations/greivances), and they’ve been together for almost 50 years (and are relatively “happy” for people in their 70s). So marriages like this can last.
Happy birthday! I’ve visited those two Bavarian castles—and I’ve hardly been anywhere so I was pleased as punch to see them in your pics. Good luck.
I love my iPad Mini. I just got it in December because I earned a huge discount because I had to (finally) replace my very, very old iPhone (4s) over Thanksgiving—and if I bought a Mini before Jan 1, it was only $49 or $99 (depending on the gigabytes). I never thought I needed one, but I really like it. I’m not sure I…
OMG. I thought that only happened to me! It’s so annoying.
I love seeing Sheela.
Ugh. I had to replace my boiler (heating system?) last year and it was about $4500 (down from the original $6500 quote the gas/electric company gave me). My parents gave me $2000 after I went without heat for December, January, February in the NY area. I think they felt sorry for me because I was poor—and cold—but I…
I LOL’d at both of your toaster posts. Thank you. :)
I loooooove to go to the movies with my parents when I visit. My dad will only see a few specific things (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings franchises), so we don’t get to do it often. But for a while there, a new one of these would come out every Christmas so we’d all go. My parents are in their 70s and I’m…
The one in the red shirt (Mikey Day).
