To be fair, all I said was that there were alternatives. Unfortunately, it’s true they are generally more expensive and without VW, pretty limited in selection.

That’s an extremely optimistic (nearly impossible) alternative to the current situation. I’d love to know exactly how you think each country could have turned out differently.

Ha, no problem. I don’t hate on Priuses. I think the concept is great. I’m a “clean diesel” owner of the non-VW variety myself, but we can coexist!

I just hope people understand that this is one car manufacturer out of many that sell passenger cars with diesel power plants. I have a diesel that uses urea injection (which is supposed to make the exhaust cleaner than a gasoline burning counterpart) and I love it.

If all efficient diesel passenger cars in the US were sold by VW, then yes. Seeing as that’s not the case I’d say no.

My wife wanted LASIK last year and we ended up choosing a LASIK plus center just outside of Dallas. We chose that clinic in particular for a few reasons. One, was that center does a TON of procedures per year, and had the latest technology offered at the time. Two, was that the office provided LASIK procedures to

The headlamp is a must. It’s probably the “tool” I use most!

Even in “sports car” red, it looks awful.

So annoying passengers can monitor the vehicle at all times!

Nope.

As soon as we got my kid an ipad mini I ordered one of these. Let’s just say, it was a good investment!

The higher quality top loading HE versions have improved a great deal from the type you are describing.

We haven’t noticed that in our top loader, although I can’t speak for all the different models. The one we got does a few things to measure the load before water goes in. It seems to do a good job getting everything washed.

We tried these too. It never seemed to completely clean it and remove the mildew smell. I’m sure some washers were better about it than others. But ours just didn’t work out.

This was a factor for us as well. The top loader had a massive load capacity, which is nice for a family. We ended up getting the Kenmore elite. Although, the thing is so deep my (short) wife has to almost jump in to reach clothes! But we both like it.

We had a front loader, but had a few problems with it. The outer seal for the drum would always get mildew smell, no matter how quickly we got clothes and left the door open for it to dry. And a sock or small garment would always find its way out of the drum into the seal area. The drum eventually broke away from the

I’m intrigued by this “pinky rest”. That sounds nice.

Step 1: Breakthrough in fusion technology.

This link has compiled a series of really well made movies going through the metal gear series up to this point, including game play, cut scenes and stills. I haven’t played the early games in a long time so I’ve been watching these over the last few days. They are long, but if you’re a fan, well worth checking out.

Would you recommend playing this without going through any of the recent MG games? I played the early PS and PS2 games, but nothing lately, and I’ve been wanting to jump back in. Is this one okay to play without backstory from the other games?
