You can't take care of your animals if you're gone. And there's no guarantee that they won't kill you and then your animals too. I volunteer at the city shelter here and have been around when both have been reported. Animals deserve to be treated well, and so do humans they depend on.

Also, just got diagnosed officially with rosacea, so if you get a rash on your face or start having red eyes, get thee to a National Rosacea Society-approved dermo. My doc says mine's likely been dormant for years, with the spicy part being a common symptom.
