I hate to vote CP, but I have to. This is a cleanly executed car and otherwise done well without having been ruined by stance or elaborate body kits. But the price is just too damn high.

Pretty sure it’s on fire, dude.

...and the drivetrain will end up sloppily shoehorned into a primered Civic with an unpainted body kit held on with zip ties, cut springs and steel wheels.

I thought a poon was a type of beaver.

“about as fun to drive as a shipping pallet with wheels”

Hnnnnngh... and I’m spent.

I have to agree with this - but it happens more often on the road than not. On a regular basis I get someone trying to street race me in their knock-kneed stanced VW (or primered Civic or stock BMW 328 or lifted truck or v6 Camaro etc, etc) because it is blatantly obvious that my Miata is modified and owned by an

Except for the asshats that stance them out so they look like a knock-kneed girl stumbling down the hallway. “Respect for the style, bruh!” But whatever, the more of them destroyed, the more they can appreciate.

I’m pretty sure the Mazda2 falls into this category. Mine was cheap ($16k out the door), it works great as a car, and it somehow manages to be fun to drive as well. But maybe I’m biased.

Starred for “swell foop” and also for the idea of ruining PII with cat pee.

The Toyota Matrix XRS. I was hoping for a sporty hatchback with the tried and true Celica GTS 1.8 engine. It felt heavy, sluggish, had a vague shifter and sloppy clutch, and I had to rev it mightily to get it out of its own way. I was constantly checking to make sure I wasn't starting off in 3rd gear - I wasn't.

I bought a 2014 Touring with a manual, and I love it. Can't heel-toe for shit in it and the throttle is a little stuffy, but all in all it's a good car for the money. Economical, decent space, lightweight, and fun to toss around. It handles well. That being said, it's not for everyone.

Am I allowed to go ahead and just upgrade that to a Cayman R?

Holy crap, this is such an amazing, fun idea. I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Is that why they have a tendency to dive into lakes?

Socks and sandals, however, should be ridiculed no matter to which gearhead group one belongs. Ugh.

"But here in the States, not so much. The entire Scion brand, FR-S included, has been clocking in less-than-stellar sales numbers month over month. My guess is that everyone who wanted an FR-S has bought one."
