At first I thought you were joking but then I looked that show up and not only did it exist, but it turns out it was an American rebrand of Takeshi’s Castle - only the finest show ever to be broadcast. Your version looks fun but I can’t imagine it’s the same without Craig Charles referring to people getting hit in

BBC4 regularly screen episodes of Top of the Pops from the 80's. Yes, this sound was everywhere. I am old so I remember watching some of those shows as a child. There is a lot of selective amnesia when it comes to 80's pop. Rewatching TOTP in the order it was first broadcast, it was 30% one hit wonders, 30% novelty

I'm no fan of this Zack Busner fellow but I did see this when it was in cinemas, at a midnight showing. I enjoyed it quite a bit. My standout memory is of when the film finished, we decided to wait until most people had left before fighting our way out. During the credits roll, the happy ending gets flipped to

He was at the comic con in Glasgow last year I think. Not sure if he made it out though.

I had a nice sandwich for lunch today. Surely there's a movie in that.

I remember being brought to see Octopussy in the cinema. For a kid of nine, that was every kind of awesome. With Bond and Batman etc. catering more for adults, I miss doing this for my own kids now. It seems all they get is computer animated dreck that they forget as soon as the credits roll.

The low point of my last trip to the Louvre was the massive crowd milling around Mona Lisa, sucking any kind of awe there might have been out of the room.
Top tip: come in from the rear door. You walk against the flow of humanity and can take you sweet time as you go, as opposed to being jostled along.

I love The Hands Resist Him.
I'm joking of course. Since seeing that painting I can no longer love anything.

Among the many other grammatical errors in his letter, Pickle also wrote the number of his age wrong. He's 34.

Stupid phone. My reply is above this post. Can't wait til 2035 so we don't have to use our fingers anymore.

I thought I heard that too! Seeing as the whole plot is pretty much Charlie & the Chocolate Factory in cyberspace it makes sense.

I get why people like the book. An encyclopaedic knowledge of pop culture is seen as the key to enlightenment and untold riches. I just felt a bit depressed after I finished it. I even refrained from making Simpsons references for over an hour afterward.

That's what kind of put me off, the idea that someone who's bad at the game gets a more difficult time than someone who's really good. I might check in when the next campaign come out though.

You should give Elder Sign a try! Not too many rules or admin to attend to, but a lot of fun. You can also play it solo - I have a few times and it was just as enjoyable.

I haven't played Arkham Horror yet - I'm working up the courage to face it - but I do love Elder Sign. It was easier to learn and it's quick to teach to others. I can see my wife taking one look at the setup of Arkham Horror and saying, 'You're joking, right?'

Maybe I'm being over-generous to these people but whenever I read about this stuff it reminds me of Alan Moore and his Snake God. It seems that he can juggle the this-is-what-I-really-believe side of it with the this-is-all-obvious-bollocks-but-it's-a-laugh side.
Surely not all of these people can lack any kind of

I've only started but given my quick toe-dip into the game, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find it too much for me in the future. It's already tough.
I considered Arkham Horror but ultimately the campaign side of it - where how you perform in one game informs the next - put me off. How do you find that works out?

Another weekend without video games, after I recently got into cardboard and dice. It's inevitable that some shiny new PS4 marvel will come along and tempt me back eventually, but for now I can't say I miss it. Board games are great fun and you can touch the pieces! With your hands!
Anyway, The Lord Of The Rings - The

"Player two has left the game."
