I've been mulling over a purchase of this game but have held off since I already own "Wargame: European Escalation" and have yet to put in the requisite time with it.

Would you recommend using WG:EE as training wheels for the even greater depth of WG:ALB, or skipping right to the new game?

Thanks!

Yup, it definitely keeps it's cool (relatively) under pretty decent load. Fan noise is virtually nonexistent.

Nope, unfortunately not. I wouldn't characterize myself as anywhere near "enthusiast" level, so most of the time my only experience with benchmarking is reading about it on Anandtech.

I was drawn to the Y510p by it's sale pricing on Lenovo.com... getting any kind of SLI laptop with 16gb of ram, a 1080p near-matte

I'd hazard a guess the Microsoft & Nvidia (and possibly Lenovo) have gotten their act together regarding SLI stability issues. I've had a Y510p with SLI GT750ms for a little over three weeks now, and I've been pretty impressed with the performance. I don't think I've had a single crash during a game yet, and

Jesus! I hope that dino skeleton was a replica...

Graphics-related question here, folks:

I can definitely see the problem with employers using Metacritic scores when determining actual, cashy-money compensation for developers... seems like way too easy an excuse for penny-pinching supervisors to withhold from deserving underlings.

I use Metacritic scores, but only when looking to justify (or defer) an

The parental parallels seem to point pretty strongly to Tony Soprano, too. The overweight, disinterested son... the borderline destructive, shallow daughter.

... and I was thinking it was pretty funny that he looked at least a LITTLE like RDJ as Tony Stark, too.

Jay Leno, indeed... or how about LOU FERIGNO. Boom.

Good question, and a good concise answer from the author. Props to both of you! Wish more commenting took this form.

Anybody else getting a "Robojox" vibe from Metroplex in his robot form? No?

Ha! Indeed... I was "lucky" enough to be watching "Meet Joe Black" on a cross-Atlantic flight. When Pitt got creamed I instantly knew which middle-aged women on the plane were watching too, depending on who gasped in shock just before I burst out laughing.

I keep getting this game confused with 'I Am Alive'... nice to know that now all I have to remember is "one has fungus zombies and Ellen Page, one doesn't".

Unless I'm mistaken, you're not supposed to perform a water birth in a Jacuzzi.

Once you notice that the Marine spec ops guy is wearing a fanny pack, it's all you see :-(

Smells like a frat pledge dare to me...

You know, if the reveal trailer is any indication, I'd say Ubisoft is deliberately going with this exact approach as the default for Watchdogs.

Glad that Ubisoft seems to have invested so much time and attention into decent performance capture. Back in the last generation of game sand moving into the current gen, Ubi's often subpar character animation often stuck out, even when the rest of the games were gorgeous.

Damn... was that Stevie W on the soundtrack? Props!
