This is a genuine question (not indirect T-Mobile bashing): do you see T-Mobile's attempts at wooing gamers to their brand as offsetting the generally higher prices customers pay for their top-tier handsets (such as the Note II)?

And there seem to be some reports following the WP8 event that Samsung has a device for Verizon that will be available before Thanksgiving.

I tend to have a pretty sharp ear for dialect (was a foreign language major), but I could NOT for the life of me put a finger on what Kingsley was aiming for with his voice-over in the trailer. He definitely had some sort of accent, but it didn't strike me as any one ethnicity.

You should try out the demo to Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. Even though the game is scads more complex than Homeworld (to the point of having a pretty unmanageable learning curve), the smaller ships in that game tend to behave a lot more realistically (or what we expect "realistic" to be in space) during combat.

Loving how many of these concept drawings (and models!) STILL look futuristic even by our standards...

Dang... I remember the comforting times when I'd watch a NASA video and all the operators and scientists in the clip would be two or three times my age. Now half of them seem to be my age or younger and it leaves me thinking "why haven't you done anything HALF that cool by now?"

Has anyone been able to see whether the finish on the black, grey, and white versions of the 920 are as glossy as the color versions? From some of the press photos they almost LOOK matte, but that doesn't seem likely...

If nothing else, it looks like the art direction hearkens back somewhat to that often-overlooked "Total Recall" t.v. series which actually looked a LOT more like "Blade Runner" than the original TR film. Which is a good thing!
