Is it *really* hard to understand why Lebron would be annoyed that the GM got canned days before the draft?
Is it *really* hard to see that as a symptom of larger organizational dysfunction, and not the only thing going wrong?
I think what Lebron wants is competent decision makers in the FO.

The parallel that I see is a bunch of fat, white nothings who have plugged away aimlessly at the same shit job for untold years, don’t get why anyone wouldn’t chose to do the same

His ego has more of a “I’m a Senator” vibe than mayor. Is being the billionaire mayor Cleveland an upgrade over being a billionaire? Being a billionaire Senator in Washington with all that entails just has a bigger impact. Also, mayors have actually produce results but Senators...not so much.

I think in the short term it will hurt his legacy going to another team and winning, but 30-40-50 years? People will only see that he won X number of championships and won’t care how.

It’s weird to think about what exactly Lebron wants here. I get that he wants his team to be more competitive with Golden State after getting their butts kicked but he has to see the simple reality that the team doesn’t have much in the way of assets to make that happen.

It’s strangely comforting to know that even the greatest athlete on the planet still has to deal with an asshole boss. Some things are unavoidable I suppose...

My cousin is engaged to a cop and they play out most of their lives on Facebook. This is a guy who voted for the first time ever in November (he’s in his 40's) for Trump. He does not have a college degree so my cousin has convinced him to enroll in The Univ. of Phoenix (with her). Their Facebook feeds are an endless

It absolutely is horrifying. I’m a clean-cut looking white male and even I approach cops around here with upturned palms and extremely placid body posture. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be black and get pulled over in some shit-hole like Kokomo or Scott County. Pretty sure I would die of fright before the

Tell me about it. I’m a fairly anti-gun person and really don’t have a desire to own a gun at all, but with all of these stories about people calling the police for help and winding up shot and potentially killed, makes me think owning a nice shotgun might be a better solution to solve a dangerous situation at home

In my home state of Indiana, it takes 1500 hours of instruction to obtain a cosmetology licence. While I think we can all agree that it’s best not to have random untrained dipshits cutting hair, I think we can also agree the worst that could happen with a poorly-trained cosmetologist is a bad dye job, or a sliced

We need to rethink criminal justice in general in this country. Everything is based on this weird punitive notion that does little to better society. The idea of locking up massive portions of the population actually excites some people. They like to hear about criminals being raped in prison. They like to hear about

It seems like even the “good” ones have a tendency to stick up for other officers even when it’s obvious they’ve reacted completely inappropriately. The Houston police chief has spoken out in support of sanctuary cities. Good.

3. Very few Internet Commenters will urge for patience and a wait-and-see approach to determine if the shooting was warranted. There won’t be people insisting that this woman must have done something wrong, and if she had just obeyed the officers’ commands, she would be alive.

They’re being trained, the problem is with *who they’re hiring in the first place.*

Yeah but why does the shit training of American police officers lead to people being shot? You look at other countries in Europe or Australia, those police are armed with guns as well. But you could count on one hand the number of people australian police have shot since the Sydney Siege a few years ago. That was a

And remember, police departments don’t look for intelligent people to hire. In fact, they do not want intelligent cops. Figure that out.

More Justine fun facts:
She referred to herself as “Juzzy Wuzzy” (her maiden name is/was Rusczyk) whenever she was talking about “woo woo” stuff.

You know when you see someone do something incredibly stupid and get punished for it somehow, and in the back of your mind you think, “whoa, I could see myself doing that exact same dumbass thing. Thanks for taking one for the team!” and then you vow to mentally remind yourself not to do it?

Justine was a dear friend who was horrified about police violence and committed to making the world better in every way. She had just picked out her wedding dress last week and was so excited to show me. She was texting me trying to get me to go to “dance church” with her on sunday morning, but instead I went to a
