Welders make very good money. The US doesn’t have much in the way of manufacturing jobs so I doubt if there are many “factory machine operator jobs” around.

That’s not how Medicaid works though. It’s publicly funded for 90 days after you have taxable income with all the bells and whistles like W-2s and then you have to go to an insurer. I should know, since I had a medical problem and had to go on Medicaid for a while when I couldn’t work.

If I pay for half and the government pays the other half for me, I’ve gotten half of my premium free of charge. You can call it “subsidized” but that’s just another way of saying “partially free”.
