I like that he used “his life easier” instead of “their life easier”. It’s telling that he has to used a male gendered pronoun to describe a person in authority, he can’t conceive of a woman being in charge.

The funny thing is, how are these lifelong ‘politicians’ not seeing this when it’s blatantly obvious to pretty much everyone else? Isn’t that supposed to be the hallmark of a politician, that they can do the calculus on this and see that it’s an absolute loser of a proposition?
