If you’re planning to spend the next ~3 years saving money for a down on a house, where’s a good place to put that money?

I also use dish soap rather than hand soap after cutting/prepping hot peppers. My (limited) understanding is that the detergent in the dish soap is able to get rid of the oil-soluble capsaicin better than regular hand soap. I could totally be wrong about that though.

I basically bought two funnels, a plastic one and a metal one. I then cut them both so that the filter would fit. Next I screwed the plastic one to the cork in the wine bottle. The metal funnel is loose, so that I can take it out and wash it.

There's a little extra weight, and the center of gravity is a little different, but it's not super noticeable.
