Eternals Metacritic score is only a few points behind the Iron Man sequels. Eternals came after Endgame and suffered from massive superhero fatigue, especially the fact that they were introducing new characters as an ensemble. It’s not a great movie by any means but it’s better than Iron Man 2 & 3.

This is revisionism. Neither Iron Man sequel is even a top-15 MCU film according to critics or fans. I’d personally put Eternals over both of them. The climax of Iron Man 3 where he’s switching suits mid-air is arguably the most cartoonishly ridiculous, physics defying visual gobbledygook seen in any Marvel film ever.

It’ll be interesting because the original seems culturally specific, poking fun at people who are afraid to not be polite. I think this story would work great in Japan, but the US I’m not so sure.
