I always thought it was a play on the term “No Man’s Land"

Would you care to elaborate on the other purposes of language?
I’m sorry. Do you have a problem?
Yes. I see what you’re trying to do. Unfortunately, for you, I feel you’ve proven my point. I fully understand your entire comment despite the purposeful use of misspelled words or using “u” and “y” instead of “you” or “why.” You have communicated effectively a point without needing to be entirely grammatically…
While technically correct, at this point it really doesn’t matter. Language’s only purpose is to convey an idea or information, to communicate. If you hear the idiom “chomping at the bit” and understand this means one is excited for something, you have communicated effectively. While the words champing and chomping…
I’ll take a pallet of those shirts!
That’s possibly true. It’s also completely possible that it is done and GRRM just doesn’t want to release it. Any number of scenarios exist, and really only the man himself, and possibly his publisher, knows the truth. I don’t think there is any reason to doubt that the books will be concluded, so long as GRRM lives…
That’s not at all what has been said. At worst the next book won’t come out till the series is over.
I get that open betas have turned into “play the game for free before launch!” events, but they used to, and still do, serve a purpose. You know, like having people report bugs and fine tuning the game for the platform, stress testing servers, etc. So, they say it’s not optimized, yet refuse to run a beta to help…
Is it really so hard to believe that there are people for whom profit isn’t the only motivator?
The existence of a demo does not negate my argument.
In other words, what about people who weren’t going to buy a Pokemon game in the first place? What about them? That isn’t a lost sale. Who knows, though, maybe they’ll buy one after the finish the free one. Either way, you can’t claim a lost sale from someone who wasn’t going to buy the product.
This is completely ridiculous. Fans are not going to stop buying Pokemon, or other Nintendo, games just because a few fan games exist. They are fans afterall.
... these are the measures they feel they need to take to protect their IP.
I don’t think it’s Arkham Knight level, honestly. I’ve been playing for a few hours, while the stuttering is a bit annoying at times, I haven’t had any crashes yet. Totally anecdotal, but so far it’s been very playable for me on an i5 and 770gtx.
Honestly, Tesla looks like a pretty sure bet at this point. Nothing is certain, especially with stocks, but it’d take a real serious scandal to derail the company at this point.
As these laws only serve to protect the entrenched car companies, I don’t think it has anything to do with hating Tesla. More to do with enjoying large campaign contributions from GM, Ford and the rest of them.
Clearly it hasn’t been crushed, the game is finished and has been released to the wild. Sure, the official site may get taken down. There is nothing Nintendo can do to stop people from playing it, now, though. It will forever be available to those interested in playing it.
Because that wasn’t the point? They wanted to make a Pokemon game. If they wanted their own IP they could have done that. They didn’t want to. Why is this so hard for people to understand?
Yo, I don’t care what anybody says. I’d rock a trilby.
