...have you seen the photo above? And...have you ever actually had sex before?

Well, yeah. That's pretty obvious. I'm fairly sure everyone knows that going in.But that's not why people are complaining.

Yeah, and most games come with a full campaign as well...

Awesome. So if I were to buy one of these bootleg games, would they work on a system? How would I know what I was really getting and what system it was for? Or is this a scam?

I'm not talking about the commercial. I don't really care about the commercial, actually. I'm not offended at all.

These are strictly used for weddings. No other purpose. It would be like going to those middle-age themed resturants and claiming you are the king. It's pure fascade.

I think some of the disconnect here might be due to many commenters not understanding Japanese culture as well as we do. I think you help bring that to light in a way a hadn't.

Not quite the same. Close, but those actually do have ordained ministers recognized as a certain sect of Christianity. At least in America.

Exactly. Said it better than I could.

Great comment. Great examples, too.

I believe you may be confusing different sects of Christianity here.

The paegan roots is a non-issue I believe. Historically speaking I don't think that's very refutable, and understood based on the time period. I don't know any Catholics who would deny this to be honest, but that's anectdotal.

There is a fixation here that I still don't understand either. They tend to cherry-pick from various cultures without any understanding about what they are doing. It's baffling to me.

I think you make an excellent point. Thank you.

I agree. But these churches are not created for any of the reasons you stated. It's merely because Japanese like the image of a Western wedding. That's it. There isn't any thought put into this from any angle. Besides me finding this offensive, that really blows my mind.

I expected nothing less elegant from you, Gunflame.

Heh, yeah. Kotaku of all places, too. /Shrug

I think you make some valid points.

Just to add, I watched the video after posting. I cannot believe they actually have a crucifix at an altar. I have no words...

I love living in Japan, I swear. But whenever Brian posts something, it always seems to trigger a wtf response from me. (I know that's not your intention Brian! :-P)
