Aww, I really like Cocalero, I wish they were selling this in the US!

Best: Claire, but really any of the girls + Leon.

Maybe I missed it, but I don’t think the modder ever called the game incomplete, or implied that this was the true vision”

Congrats, you did a little more extreme version of a vodka redbull.

It took them 2 years just to properly let people play online and they couldn't even add a board? LOL.

Same. I've never heard anybody say Clock Tower was the progenitor.

I think the only games I’ve EVER bought but never played were collections of 2-3 games (say, Bioshock, Arkham or Darksiders) where I still haven’t finished the first one. And I still paid less for the collection than each game in it would’ve cost individually.

Though the game stars fresh faces like Wicked Twisters Rindo, Fret, Nagi, and Minamimoto, fans can expect some recognizable characters to show up.”

My least favorite thing about the game so far (didn’t play the original version) is that only dialog has voiced, but narrative isn’t. So if I’m playing and reading along as I listen tothe dialogue, about every five seconds I have to completely ignore the voice acting, because the game text has two lines of dialogue

The scantily clad women are one thing/not really office appropriate, but I hate the idea that he can’t have the OTHER pop culture things because of “professionalism.” I never liked the idea of people thinking you’re bad at your job bc of something completely unrelated to your job. Like how it wasn’t that long ago you

“They're bringing up stuff from 2016!" Yeah, that wasn't that long ago dude...

That’s in the sequel, not the original game that the article is focusing on

I realize this article is focused on the mainline platformers, but given that spin offs were mentioned and Daisy is in two of the pictures on this article, as someone who has never liked Daisy I love that her name is not in this article even once. Love to see it. It’s what she deserves.

It was; Kotaku’s even written about that before since I'm pretty sure I read about that on this site

Seriously. I played the shit out of my SNES, and when I finally got a PlayStation there was zero confusion between x/o for me (except in the rare games like ffvii that used O for select and X for cancel). I was in elementary school and had no problems with this, then or now. If I know I’m playing on a Nintendo

Yeah they got that, they asked why they reversed that for the West, where X is also extremely commonly used to mean wrong/incorrect and circle can also mean select.

I don’t see how or why Square Enix would be more protective of Geno of all characters than Cloud or Hero from Dragon Quest.

Not having played TTYD I have no nostalgia for it. The only game in the series I played was Sticker Star and I found that gamehorrible and completely lacking in fun/entertainment factor. While I do like turn based games, I don’t care if they change (Final Fantasy is one of my fave series, they haven’t been turn based

I keep seeing people say this and tbh I’ll so glad that I’m not y’all. When I played a good game that I liked as a kid, Ifind it’s still a good game that holds up exactly as well as I thought it would/did. Maybe I just don't pretend a game was better than it was when thinking back on it like y'all seem to.

I think it looks fine? 🤷🏻
