???? You’re not in the minority. Everyone thinks Silent Hill 3 was really good.

The graphics are certainly cleaner but I don’t think they look better. I actually like anime but there was no reason a rerelease had to involve an art style shift. Felt the same way about Radiant Historia.

I followed but said yes, chose heads, and luxury massage and I got hers.

I applaud the message/sentiment behind it, but this had exactly 0% of the charm of the original and was overall extremely unpleasant to watch (and to listen to)

You can completely blow through the second half of disc 1 and be pretty far into disc 2 in the time it takes to get through Midgar.”

Oh they absolutely would have. Even the ATB was an attempt at making the games more actiony than just normal turn based.

Even with the expansion I expect we’ll only see a small portion of the overall city. Like, I’m sure they’ll be expanding Wall Market, The Sector 7 slums, etc, and we might see a completely new area or two, but it’s not like we’ll be able to go to every sector above and below the plates or anything.

It’s literally timing/graphics. If FFVI had been the 3D one with the pretty at the time graphics, it’d be even more popular than it already is, and many lists of best games already put FFVI as better than or just behind VII as it is.

You say “I doubt they would have hidden such a huge plot point behind this piece of dialogue from Jessie,” but in FFVIII, Ultimecia’s entire motivations for doing everything that she’s doing are hidden behind a couple lines at the speech in Deling City before you even know Ultimecia exists or that Edea’s possessed by

I hear so many good things about this game that tbh I’m still just waiting on a FFVII starter deck/set and I’d be in so fast! C’mon Square Enix, VI was just ranked as third best by the Japanese fanbase, which places it higher among fans than most of the games that have starter sets out, MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I mean, CBS All Access hasn’t said anything about delaying their new Adaptation of The Stand which comes out later this year and the first third of which is about a man-made superflu virus that kills off 99.6% of the world’s population. It’s coming out later later though, so not around this time, but it’s not like

Tbh I enjoyed it all the way up until Alice faces off against Nemesis.

Well like, that’s you, and you haven’t played the game in 23 years. A lot of people play games more than once, and Final Fantasy fans in particular tend to replay their favorite entry multiple times. I had a friend in college who would play FFVII all the way through once a year. I’ve played it 3-4 times since it came

Well, I think there was plenty clarification that it’s only Midgar, but I agree, the title’s worded wrong and the fact that it’s only Midgar (or rather that it’s not a remake of the entire FFVII story) should be clear from the title.

It is very definitely not a third of the game. 1/5 is much closer.

To be fair, that’s a different type of media and we’re used to that from TV, but for the most part not from gaming.

And people don’t like that, regardless of having been told in advance. That’s why they’re complaining. Just cause they were told in advance that it’s going to be multiple releases doesn’t mean everyone has to like that.

LMAO no Kalm isn’t going to get this level of care. Midgar is canonically a HUGE city that’s bigger than most of the other areas in the game. Expanding it to more than just a handful of screens worth of what are supposed to be big slums makes sense given what gamers expect in terms of graphics and explorability these

Yeah, thinking about it, since Kalm’s only function in the story is to be the place where Cloud has his flashbacks that convince everyone to go after Sephiroth, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut Kalm out completely. They can have the flashbacks happen completely in Midgar (especially since it looks like we’ll see

I mean, I think it makes sense though. People would be pretty unhappy if they made the game with today’s graphics and then the explorable size of Midgar was as tiny as it was in the original game, so they had to make Midgar the size of a huge city like it actually is. Which then means having to put more stuff to
