I am almost 7 weeks pregnant and heard my kid’s heart beat on Tuesday! I was originally thought to be about a week and a half later based on the date of my last period, so the first ultrasound I had didn’t show anything other than a gestational sac. I was so anxious but am so happy now!

Congratulations!! My lighthearted news is my adopted sister’s birth sister had twin girls Thursday, and named one after my sister! None of us knew she was planning it until the babies were born.

YAY! I’m so happy for you! My lighthearted news is that I skipped class on Wednesday to see the Lore live show in DC—an hour and a half of spooky stories inside a historic synagogue and getting to meet my favorite podcaster. It was great!

If it wasn’t for you guys and SNS, I am not sure that I could have made it through the past few years and I am not even exaggerating. I have a reason to celebrate! After 5 years of waiting for The Asshole to fix the divorce papers he wanted me to sign, I went ahead and filed for divorce myself, back in June. This week, the judge signed the decree after The Asshole didn’t respond to the notice he was sent.

I learned about Caitlin here on Jez and actually hit her up on twitter when my dad died and I had a question google couldn’t answer. A+ person.
