Since one of FF14's (And FF11 before it) best features is on-the-fly class changes on a single character, I’m not feeling much guilt at all at changing jobs, at least once I have already built up a soild stable of ready-to-endgame classes.

Here’s the thing: Even if what he’s saying is true, the only way stuff like this works is if both consenting adults are on the same page in regards to the fantasy.  Knowing what’s ok and what’s not is what you do to ensure that no one gets hurt.

Which is odd, because pretty much everything they’ve done is an adaptation. Wikipedia suggests they’ve only ever done two original stories (Munto and Tamako Market), the most recent of which came out six years ago. So, even if the guy’s idea had been stolen (probably not), he almost certainly targeted the wrong people

Kyoto Animation is the outlier where animators aren’t freelancers paid per piece, but salaried employees. Which I think makes the disgruntled-overworked-and-fired employee the less likely possibility.

I’ve seen reports that the police confirmed the guy was not a current or former employee.

If there's no safe word there is no game.

It’s possible, but unlikely if you ask me. KyoAni is one of the extremely rare studios in the industry, where animators get hired as salaried employees who aren’t paid per frame. That also affects their animation quality greatly. KyoAni is also one of the rare studios, which picks and produces their own projects. So

This is dope.

What a fucking pathetic and transparently untrue excuse. He’ll get his day in court. And his decade in prison.

So did he assume her calling the cops and defending herself with knives were all just part of the “fantasy” they were “role playing” ?

Oh, this... this is beautiful.

I’ve repaired a few sets of joycons at this point for myself and friends and tried every method pretty much suggested to try and fix the issue without replacement but the issue seems to be inevitable for most joycons.

this addresses de-syncing joy-cons, not drifting joycons.

yeah but the fix is never permanent, it always comes back within a few weeks

Except some of the people who have reported this problem also report being aware of it before they bought their Switches and taking exquisite care with them.

I baby all my stuff because I’m incredibly shallow, materialistic and I love my stuff. My left joycon started drifting a few months after purchase. It’s not an issue of abuse/wear & tear.

My Pro controller developed the drift issue about a year... so its not exclusive to the joycons

Please never stop reporting on this. Maybe then Nintendo will actually maybe tack notice/acknowledge that it’s an issue.
