I’ve always preferred the Metroid Prime design for the Varia, which was a realistic take without making the suit look any different from how’d it appeared in previous games and art. It has a sleek almost androgynous form that doesn’t feel sexualised instead looking incredibly powerful, it’s great.

I mean, Zero Suit Samus “functions” because of plot(and boner) reasons. Not because of any practical application. Even for science fiction.
