Yeah, show them who’s boss! Throw money at them until their arms buckle under the weight of their prosperity, so that their last and only recourse is to succumb to the adoration and free marketing of their fans!
Pretty sure the understanding of crowdfunding is that the money is a donation. Any backer rewards are essentially a “thank you” from the project for helping. The people that want refunds are also entitled to it if there were fundamental changes to the project or misuse of the funds.
Savage is the name of the game.
LDRs are hard. You guys gave it a shot and it didn’t work out, no shame in that. If you guys talked solutions and he didn’t want to commit, that’d be on him, not you, so there’s nothing to beat yourself about there. Just remember to give yourself time to recover and get back to enjoying life.
It’s that Greek diet. Greek yogurt, feta, olives and ass kicking.
Well, 100% of people who’ve died had lived. Let’s not forget that statistics are just number we assign meanings. Some true, some exaggerated.
I actually know people who enjoyed Fantastic Four. Who’s to say you wouldn’t’ve thought it was better than most people gave it credit for? Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.
Heh, let’s stop generalizing then :)
There’s a lot more players daily on LoL than most other online games. The number of asshats is unsurprisingly higher, but the distribution is likely proportional. However, the odds of getting asshats is probably increased because of the abundance of availability.
But really, my main…
I think people need to question what they see or hear more often. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but good thing we’re not cats. We should be smarter than just blindly following every Tom, Dick and Harry.
Odds are not 100%. That’s almost as broad a generalization as my outrageous example of plane crashes. I have had plenty of good games where both teams were courteous, even in defeat, and I have had plenty of games where people were trolling. It’s not consistent in any regard. But to claim a constant stream of people…
I guess a more accurate comparison would be never going gambling because the house has more favourable odds.
Press is press. There’s a certain bias to it that people do need to be aware of. HotS and DotA2 not as good as people keep claiming, and there’s just as many trolls and toxic players, but LoL was the poster…
Yeah, I get that. Kotaku/commenters don’t do much in the way of painting the community in a better light either with stories about how bad the players are and how Riot’s constantly trying to fix their policies regarding toxic players.
I just find it a silly precedence to not try something because people talk smack…
You should’ve led with that explanation :)
I’ve always found that to be flawed logic. Do you not drink because alcohol can make you do stupid things? Do you not ride a plane because historically some planes have crashed? It seems ridiculous to not do something because there’s a chance you’ll have a bad time.
I think the cat would be more of a manager. Delegating and demanding deadlines whatnot...
What about giving the cat a lateral promotion to a parent branch of your organization?
Sounds like you need to file a complaint with HR...
Is there a term for having satisfaction in other people’s good fortune? Like the opposite schadenfreude?
