So...

Guessing its still gonna be likely they merge and/or partner P+ with some other service.

and Clue!

While obviously not on the level of Weekend at Bernies, there are some funny corpse gags in Men at Work.

they should not have got rid of the deleted scene of the hitman replacing bernies blood with corn syrup

It’s best understood as a fantasy-comedy film which takes place in a world where dead bodies don’t begin to decompose until a week or two after death.

This is the funniest thing I’ve seen on the internets today (tho it’s still early): Someone who was proudly certain for 35 years that they *understood* the plot engine of “Weekend at Bernie’s”.... and then, *today*, they had it explained to them.

Well if this and Night of the Comet are all you have seen her in, check out The Last Starfighter from 1984!

They should have had Bernie coming out of the bathroom immediately before the hit man kills him, to explain why his corpse doesn’t reek of piss and shit.

Actually, what happened was that the hitman called when he arrived at the dock on a payphone, looking for directions to the beach house, and Bernie answers the phone later, so the answering machine had already picked up and started recording. Bernie thinks the hitman is coming to kill the two guys, so give directions

I remember that I avoided seeing (the excellent) Linklater film “Bernie” for years because all I I knew about it was the title and that it starred comedian Jack Black and I assumed it was a remake/reboot of this.

Has it really been 35 years since I saw in Narragansett movie theater by the Coast Guard House? Oh god...it has.

I feel like we, as a society, don’t appreciate Terry Kiser’s physical comedy performance in this movie nearly enough. It’s genuinely pretty damned phenomenal.

I’m sure it also helped that she had just worked with both Roth and Black on The House with a Clock in its Walls and spoke in interviews about how much fun she had.

SPOILERS FOR A MOVIE THAT ALREADY CAME OUT (ie., not Borderlands)

The Borderlands trailers have looked pretty bad, but if you’re struggling to understand why Cate Blanchett decided to star in an ensemble action-comedy blockbuster with Jack Black and Kevin Hart, people with a proven record in such movies, you’re not trying hard enough.

My fuck-you-very-much trigger:

Right? I have no feelings whatsoever about these movies, but I have strong feelings of disagreement, on a purely literal level, about the notion that there is no best of the series so far. It would be one thing to say “This series has yet to produce a true classic” but unless all items in any list are of such poor

I had it in my head that the original Beverly Hills Cop was the movie me and my friends went wild over and watched again and again as (very, very young) kids, but - after watching it a few weeks back - realised it was the sequel we all had recorded on VHS and watched every other weekend.
