I would love it if we started seeing chargers at actual interstate rest stops. I’d much rather walk around a pleasant little park than mill around a truck stop for half an hour.
OH god. I just realized you’re going from wrenching in “WHAT INSPECTIONS” Michigan to dealing with TUV
Looks like your fuel system is set up for an external combustion engine.
I love the Craigslist-level optimism.
There is a lot to unpack here...
The automakers just want a set of rules to follow that won’t change on the whim of whoever is in office. GM, Toyota, and FCA are saying that they want federal rules that govern the entire country, wherever those standards end up being. Ford, Honda, VW, and BMW are probably more pragmatic in understanding that…
Do you.... realize that all automakers and states were in agreement with obama’s standards? Trump is the one who single handedly created this issue.
2nd Gear: I think GM and Toyota are hoping that going forward there is a single rule on emissions that comes from the authority with the most regulatory, enforcement and financial power. They are not pro-Trump. They are looking beyond Trump’s administration and want more certainty because some of the cars they design…
#3 In a time of work shortages, record unemployment, and a pandemic, the last thing we need are two separate emissions standards to complicate things.
I think everyone should head over to TFL and listen/watch this podcast, as Roman and Andre talk to 3 engineers from Ram and go into great detail. I just watched it an hour ago, and it is really good.
Dammit, cannot unsee.
The flat-top front wheel well and perfectly round rear well are making me irrationally angry.
This needs to be cross-posted to Earther because reasons.
lol, what a crazy joke of a truck. Living where i live i am sure ill see some of these and itll be interesting to see up close.
I’m afraid the BART discussion and your NASA documentation are taking about different things. NASA here is looking at flatus, the gaseous part of farts, where for us, the key component is that ever-so-faint whiff of hydrogen sulfide. Many of those gases aren’t going to behave like the dominant gases in the atmosphere.…
Technology to get one car to follow another is much simpler than Tesla “autopilot.” and could be made standard equipment in cars within a few years if people wanted it. Cars would also have to be able to automatically join an “autotrain” and exit one at specified on-ramps and off-ramps.
Gosh, the Autonomous vehicle corridor just amounts to a “carpool lane” down the middle of I-94, with a nice barrier to keep the vehicles away from traffic.
