Funny, that’s how I feel about most human drivers I have to deal with.

If you want something $10k cheaper and smaller / similar sized to a Mach-E or Ioniq 5, that’s what the Equinox is for.

Wagoneer and Wrangler were noted in the UAW agreement to use this system.

Basically. And what makes it even worse is they’ve simplified the design to the point that the battery pack is literally the floor of the interior. If you remove the battery, the interior comes with it.

The closest ICE competition to the Hummer are the F150 Raptor R and Ram TRX, both of which are rated 12mpg combined. Same thing is going to happen to an EV. Can’t beat physics. With the Hummer though its mpg equivalent is 47 mpg. So it is still much more efficient than its ICE competitors.

Yes

Silverado has the exact same pack. The Hummer has the efficiency that it does because of its huge heavy wheels and offroad tires, three motors, and its shaped like a brick. The 2024 model got a street tire package and gained 20 miles of range. The loaded RST trim Silverado improves on aerodynamics and will get 400

Now playing

Other than the weight, I don’t see where the difficulty was to take it apart to get to the modules and cells. It looks like they came out pretty easily and cleanly which is good for servicing and recycling. That will ultimately reduce repair and insurance costs and increase resale.

There’s one major benefit Europe has over us with wall charging. Standard 240V.

Industry average for lithium ion at the battery pack level is about $150 kWh. Meaning this 200+ kWh battery (gross) is about $35000. That still leaves $40k for a base work truck body. The difference comes in whether or not you can make them in-house (like GM) or price it with a huge profit margin (like Tesla who is

Pricing for this leaked a few months ago at $78k. GM already has their in-house battery factory in production so they will achieve better scale and lower costs than Ford can.

Yes

Back in 2019 Toyota mentioned the manual take rate is 5%, meaning its probably even lower now. That’s GM’s excuse.

Its supposedly built with diesel-like features so hopefully it is reliable.

That was planned but is now supposedly dead to put more resources into EVs.

I’m dealing with that now with my 18 Regal GS. The recall was done but I’m still getting notifications. What did you end up doing?

When it comes to a 3 cyl vs 4 cyl, I might lean to the 3 cyl since they tend to sound more throaty and similar to a V6 rather than a wheezing 4 cyl.

The Bolt is basically sold out for the rest of the year. Buyers have completely forgotten about the fires.

Except they are now breaking sales records for the model and desperately trying to increase production and build all they can before production ends.

Wonder if you can buyout your own lease and take advantage of the used EV tax credit? 30% of the price up to $4000.
