The difference is probably more like GM China actually builds that engine for this and other vehicles. GM Korea where this is coming from only does the 1.2 and 1.3. Even the Korean built Malibu is replacing the 1.5 with the 1.3.

The Hummer has been doing pretty well real-world. I can easily see the Silverado getting over 500 miles real-world.

A new engine like this is probably locked up pretty well. So if its like their new V8s it could be a while before the aftermarket figures out tuning.

The RPO codes were always meant for internal use only but early on enthusiasts started identifying with them and now here we are. Every option on a GM vehicle has a 3 digit RPO code. For example more popular engine RPO codes are LS1, LS7, LT1 etc.

That looks nothing like the Trailblazer. By your “badge engineering” definition almost every car on the road is badge engineered if it shares a platform.

Now playing

Yup, Buick has been gaining appeal with female buyers. Hence the commercials.

That was quick

Most of Europe is “all-in” on EVs. So it will be interesting to see how F1 progresses either way.

Seeing more $100k+ EVs like this just makes the sub-$70k Cadillac Lyriq look more like a hell of a deal.

Its not the worst. A loaded Ram 1500 goes down to 1000 lbs payload.

Except they are 35" tires. So only as bad as their existing trucks with 20" wheels.

I prefer the charging in the rear since you have to back in to charge. When sitting at a lonely charger with access from the parking side you can see out better for safety reasons.

Also, to be fair only the Lucid can achieve close to its rated range. Model S is 280-320 miles highway between the plaid and dual motor, and depending on who does the testing.

All auto companies with in-house lending has higher debt. They borrow that money for vehicle financing which is extremely profitable. If Tesla ever goes the same route it will be the same for them too.

Next is the Escalade IQ. Others they have trademarked include Ascendiq, Lumistiq, Optiq, Symboliq and Vistiq.

Its double the cost because its fully custom. The powertrain itself is the same from the AWD Cadillac Lyriq which is only $65k. Its also 2 feet longer than either of those cars.

The buyers for this want something that no one else has.

Well if you think its sparse then tell Cadillac what you want to do to spruce it up. Cadillac has said they will literally do whatever you want as long as you pay for it. Want to use the wood from the tree growing in the front yard of your childhood home? They will do it.

That’s because its based on GM’s EV platform where all their new EVs have buttons and knobs.
