I think the ID Buzz will be the Beetle of EVs for VW. Huge initial interest then taper off.

Needs to at least have some room behind the seat. Doesn’t need to be an extended cab with rear doors and seats, just a foot or so of extra room. So shorten the cab by 2 feet, and lengthen the bed to 6.5 feet.

The Ridgeline has separate panels for the body and bed. Its still a single unibody structure underneath.

That’s based on comments from Panasonic EV battery head about the 4680 batteries.

Plaid+ was supposed to use Tesla’s new 4680 battery with higher energy density. The problem might be with getting that battery to production.

I have been to China about 10 times in the last 10 years. When you get to larger sizes they prefer their MPV mini vans like the Buick GL8.

They don’t sell the Enclave in China. Its too big. Its having huge success in the US along with the rest of the Buick lineup.

Buick sales were down 21 percent last year in what was a year of pandemic for everyone and transition for Buick as it went all-SUV, a bet which, for now in America, looks pretty good.

Are you aware that the 4 series Gran Coupe exists? The i4 is based on that.
