Autonomous vehicles with vehicle to vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure communication will drastically reduce congestion. At some point in the future I expect to see autonomous-only lanes. If you want to drive yourself you can sit in traffic in the manual driving lanes.

Yes this is because of Tesla. But not what you’re thinking. Tesla changed buyer’s perception about EVs which has allowed these manufacturers to move more quickly to EVs. GM would not be making such an aggressive effort if the market was not there.
They just did the SS wrong overall. Styling is very important and that is why the Charger still does well. The SS was just Holden’s mass market sedan with the dull styling to match. TRoc is too premium for the US market. Same problem the 1st gen Tiguan had where it was too expensive for its segment. So the US gets these cheaper global market VWs. The Taos is closely related to the VW Tharu sold in China.
How is this any different than when they had sedans of every size. At one time Chevrolet had Spark, Sonic, Cruze, Malibu, Impala and SS.

Rivian has nothing to do with the Transit EV. It was already under development when the investment in Rivian happened. It goes on sale next year in Europe.

Lane keep assist is just that. It assists in keeping you in the lane if you start to go out of it. It is not a lane centering feature.

They really took the lack of buttons too far. The driver only has two window buttons and you use a capacitive button to switch between front and rear. So you have to look down to see if front or rear is selected or guess without looking.
