The ID4 is only 6 inches taller than a Golf and most of its weight is down low in the batteries. The ID4 is also RWD. But yes it has another 1000 lbs to contend with.

And that short amount of time is practically nothing in the automotive market. Everyone isn’t buying cars at the exact same time.
