Uhaa Nation is amazing. For one thing, he can do this kind of thing. He's also really charismatic and has a nice smile and ought to get super over with any crowd. His theme song is also pretty great, but I doubt that's going to be around in WWE.

I strongly felt that the women's 4-way should have main evented the last Takeover, but afterwards it became pretty clear that nothing could have followed that Zayn/Owens match. I don't think Sasha vs. Becky had anywhere near the sort of buildup that the rematch last night had, so it couldn't really have main evented…
It looked like they were basically bloomers. I guess wearing olde-fashioned underwear fits the steampunk motif, but it was kind of weird and offputting.
The crippling depression storyline isn't really conducive to making Emma look dominant, but she looked great against Charlotte recently, and I think it wouldn't be that hard for her to emerge from this whole thing as a major part of the division. Win-loss records are basically meaningless anyway.
I think Tyler Breeze has got a good WWE career ahead of him. He's good at the WWE style, has a gimmick that's really easy to get into, and he's young enough that he can pretty much do this forever. He's probably headed for something like Val Venis' career, and most pro wrestlers would love to have that.
Bull already jacked Eddie Kingston's nickname, so I'd be pretty okay with it if he started saying that. Of course, there are already two people on the main roster with a "gimmick infringement" gimmick, so it might not be a good time for that.
NXT! NXT! NXT! I am going to both get hype and stay hype for LaToya covering NXT on a weekly basis, and this show should be an awesome way to start that off. It would be even better if Hideo Itami hadn't gotten an injury right as he was finally building some momentum, but this is still going to be great.
I suppose I feel like a lot of people seem to be implicitly endorsing option B, which to me sounds even worse than option C. I unfairly associated your comment with that sentiment, mainly because my issues with the criticism are vague and nebulous and not really tied to any one person, and your comment made me think…
I've seen a lot of criticism from people who have apparently read the books and didn't seem to find the content objectionable enough to quit who felt that the tv show was extremely objectionable, and was a significant step down from what happens in the books. The idea that rape is okay if it happens to a character…
It's a little bit concerning to me that people seem to find the rape of a character who is nothing but a plot device less offensive than the rape of a character who the audience actually sympathizes with. The fact that the show humanizes the rape victim to a greater extent doesn't seem like it ought to be considered…
For some reason I have a really hard time remembering that Dark Horse comics exist. They have a lot of good series going that I should really check out, but I feel like I hardly hear about any of them.
That was one of the first things I thought of on the topic of good ending credits music as well. "Setting Sail, Coming Home" was the first thing, but "Late Goodbye" is worth sticking around for.
I won't get a chance to watch this episode for a little while, but Brandon Graham working with Adventure Time is a combination of two of my favorite things. I am just super excited about this.
This RAW sounds like major garbage, but if there was Bo Dallas involvement then I'm all in favor of it. My NXT guys getting paid is pretty much the only thing I care about on the main roster. I hope Bo and Roman have a wet hair contest at some point.
Chikara doesn't force you to turn off your suspension of disbelief; Chikara rewards suspension of disbelief.
Yeah, I think she tends to get pigeonholed as being a feminist writer, which often causes her to write things that aren't suited to her strengths. I haven't checked out her Red Sonja stuff yet, but I have fairly high hopes for it for the reasons you mentioned.
I definitely agree with Secret Six being Simone's best. I think she's generally best at writing stories about homicidal assholes having misadventures, which made her Secret Six and Deadpool/Agent X runs quite good. Stuff like Wonder Woman and Batgirl just doesn't really seem to fit her as well.
I bought the Orion Omnibus too! It arrived yesterday afternoon so I haven't dug into it yet, but I'm very excited about it.
Read the first few deluxe volumes of Fables this past week. It's been pretty entertaining so far, even if I don't think it feels all that special.
