To be fair, you have to be a pretty huge asshole not to be generally on board with Sarkeesian's work, so it really isn't that optimistic to think nobody like that would show up. The fact that it comes across as naive says more bad things about the internet than it does about Sam.

I'm with you on that. I know it's supposed to be a "sliding timeline," but I greatly prefer to think of it as a compressed timeline. That way you don't have to read those old stories and pretend they're set in the 90s or 00s or whatever.

The last issue I read was an issue-long battle between Panther and Killmonger, which ended with Killmonger declaring the Black Panther dead. It seemed like a fun stopping point.

I used my last week of Marvel Unlimited to read about 20 more issues of Christopher Priest's Black Panther. It's been really fun, and I'm contemplating renewing Marvel Unlimited to keep reading it, especially since there doesn't seem to be any better way to read it.

The Mandrakk stuff is mostly established in the Superman Beyond issues, which apparently looked like an optional tie-in when it came out but really wasn't optional at all if you wanted to understand Mandrakk. To its credit, DC has included Superman Beyond with all the collected editions of Final Crisis.

I don't know about his other selections, but that cartoon-heart-shaped ass in the air cover absolutely deserves to be summarily lumped in with lazy teats 'n assers like Land. That picture is hilariously garbage.

I got Street Angel without knowing anything about it when it first came to comiXology just because I'd been playing a bunch of Jet Set Radio Future, and it really is great. I didn't even know that it wasn't a new comic when I started buying it. I should definitely get that trade.

I've been continuing my dive into Marvel Unlimited, mostly with Priest's Black Panther and Claremont's New Mutants. I just finished the Demon Bear story in New Mutants (it was lots of fun), and now I'm about to run out, which is disappointing since we just got to the Sienkiewicz.

The simple version is that the evil god Darkseid has the Anti-Life Equation, which he uses to eliminate the free will of everyone exposed to it. The good guys all team up to fight him and eventually win. They then do a victory lap by fighting an interdimensional vampire. If there are specific things you want

I think you nailed it there. I can understand Batman or X-Men fans being upset after reading Morrison comics, but I can't imagine anyone picking up Multiversity without knowing what they're in for.

And in that we have proof; the Mountain has failed the true test of strength. Björnsson's greatest power is his gentle heart. Björnsson would never squish a man's head like a grape. The Mountain, like all else, is weaker than Björnsson.

I've been contemplating continuing with the DnA part of it since they usually seem to be pretty good, but I have a million other things to read. If it's disappointing then I'll probably skip it unless I'm desperate for more New Mutants.

Apparently Kirby, Black Panther, and New Mutants are the highest priorities of new Marvel Unlimited subscribers.

My first experience with New Mutants came just a few months ago from Zeb Wells' run on the title, which is terrific. It's only three trades long, one of which is a Necrosha tie-in, but it's great from start to finish. It's also pretty accessible, even if it does reference established characters and events (for

Oh yeah, I also read about a fifth of From Hell. If you've ever wanted to read Jack the Ripper talk about architecture then it's totally the book for you. Probably doesn't need to be said that it's pretty good.

I took advantage of the recent Marvel Unlimited sale, so I've been reading random things that caught my eye on that. I started with Devil Dinosaur for the Kirbiness of it, then read the first story arc of Christopher Priest's Black Panther. It was fun, but it mostly took place from the perspective of a diplomat who

It's issue 24 of Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men. It has about a half dozen different little stories with the common theme of characters on dates. It's a pretty fun issue. Here it is on comiXology in case you like that format: https://www.comixology.com/…

This video was made for me by the "you just snuck in an extra punch" sound effect from Mike Tyson's Punch Out!! being played at exactly the right time.

I got a previously available feature notification for this?

I assume that this movie will be about little girls magically fixing people's windows by jumping through them from a prone position.
