Yeah I don’t know where Dame Mirren is going with this...

Eh, I don’t necessarily mind people putting an arm around me, so long as it’s the arm of a person I like. They start applying pressure though, and man I am out of there. The shoulder/neck thing annoys me infinitely more though, especially when guys start to ‘massage’ the area.

I need to tell my wife, who sometimes throws my arm over her shoulder, that she’s wrong and should feel possessed.

I’m not going to argue with the Dame, but I find it far more “posessive” (and generally uncomfortable) when guys put their hands on that space between a girl’s neck and shoulders, like some sort of hand-collar.

I disagree on the earrings. I would wear long, thin, dangly earrings to like, re-elongate the neck. I’m partial to earrings, though; they are my go-to accessory. I find bracelets uncomfortable.

So it’s sort of the opposite of why most churches have to close.

Oh and that episode has my other favorite SATC scene:

Also, female police officer is a pre-Shonda Rhimes Dr. Bailey.

Wait. Is this from the episode where Samantha catches Richard cheating on her? Because the episode after that is my favorite one. Specifically because of this scene:

Ms. Holmes and Mr. Foxx

Wish I could give you more stars. Your replies are nicer than what mine would have been. Like I said elsewhere, condemning bigotry is not tantamount to supporting the abusers or even the patriarchy. And local feminism is just hypocritically ignored. Why isn’t native championing for equality considered “Indian

I’ll concede that acknowledging local struggles on a global stage is good for the movement, in general terms. But there is a strong western bias in the comments that is not getting put in its place. I am not silencing Reshma, I am trying to silence those who would like to shout above her about how much pain they feel

I don’t think these posts actually do any good. I think they are more harmful as they create unrealistic impressions of other cultures and encourage American Exceptionalism. See all the commentators who are posting about how ALL Indian men are misogynistic and then look at how many stars these comments receive and the

I confess I already stole it from someone else, namely Caitlin Moran, who says and does some really shitty things but can turn a phrase.

I’m hoping to build that into the hen do. This is the same guy who said that lesbians all tend to look the same (read: butch) and said that I was lucky to have the ‘luxury’ of being disabled and routinely bed-bound because I got to lie around in bed all day. I think his brain is lacking some vital thinkamins.

And then your friend heard him terminated the engagement and joined you in firing him to pluto in a bucket, yes?

It’s frustrating seeing videos like these posted for clicks and comments on Jezebel. This video was not made to enlighten the West about acid attacks. It is part of a local campaign to put pressure on government officials to regulate the sale of acids. This is missed by the commenters, who eat this stuff up with a
